WEEKEND RESULTS | Brynmawr go top
Brynmawr seniors faced a tough opposition when they faced the undefeated Brecon RFC at Brynmawr Comprehensive School. Brynmawr were 9-8 behind at halftime but a dominant second half performance ensured that Brynmawr won 23-15 meaning Brynmawr now leapfrog Brecon to go top of Division 1 East and remain unbeaten.
Due to the Seniors game being moved at late notice it meant that the Youth Welsh Plate game against Llanharan Youth was postponed.This will now be played this following Saturday.
On Sunday the Under 16s team faced Caldicot on Central park Blaina. Despite playing most of the game with 14 men and even dropping down to 13 men for a duration of the game a late try and penalty meant Brynmawr won 10-5.
